Former Head of Talent Acquisition, Aston Martin

Steve started his career in global executive search which lasted 18 years, before starting my internal TA career in the Middle East in 2006. He focussed on TA transformation and building new TA operating models that deliver pro-active sourcing, focusing on quality of hire and diversity.

Steve has worked in multiple sectors and wandered across more than 20 countries to deliver TA, living in 5 different ones. TA done well is a thing Steve always promotes, often surprising some of the businesses he’s worked in, who didn’t know the value of this and what good looked like. It’s important for Steve to work in companies with strong values, who don’t just have the words printed on a wall.

What’s a professional achievement of yours from 2024 that you are proud of?

Coaching and career development of a significant number of TA professionals to improve and accelerate their careers.

Great network of people to share knowledge with and learn from.

What is your prediction for the TA industry for 2025?

Another tough year, AI actually being used to make a noticeable difference in several ways, HR and Boards understanding the value of TA better in greater numbers.
