Martin has been working in recruitment for 14 years, initially working in agency recruitment in both the UK and US. Following a move in-house to Amazon, Martin has scaled and lead teams across EMEA and APAC, with his current role leading all recruitment activity for Sainsbury’s. He’s passionate about delivering exceptional candidate and customer experience but innovating to make the job as simple yet effective as possible. Outside of work, Martin follows sport, likes to read, and spend time with family and friends.
What’s a professional achievement of yours from 2024 that you are proud of?
I’m excited to have taken up the role as Group Head of Talent Acquisition for Sainsbury’s, with the opportunity to lead and shape recruiting across the group of brands.

What is your prediction for the TA industry for 2025?
AI remains the talk of the town and 2025 will be a year when we start to see where teams and businesses have used this to their advantage. With new roles coming to market and an increasing challenge on talent attraction, we will continue to see companies evolve how they assess both internal and external candidates for roles, moving away from pure experience to core skills and behaviours.
