James is a seasoned talent acquisition leader with two decades of experience spanning agency, RPO, and in-house roles. Since 2004, he has honed his expertise in identifying and securing top talent while fostering best-in-class recruitment practices. Currently serving as the Global Head of TA Recruitment Solutions at Johnson & Johnson, James is at the forefront of the Talent Acquisition AI journey, exploring how AI can enhance both customer and recruiter experiences.
A qualified coach, James is passionate about developing and empowering teams to reach their full potential. His international experience, having lived in Australia and Singapore, fuels his enthusiasm for travel and his global outlook. Outside of work, James enjoys sports, particularly football, cricket, and tennis.
What’s a professional achievement of yours from 2024 that you are proud of?
In 2024 we were able to roll-out and embed a new RPO solution in J&J’s largest manufacturing plant supporting critical high volume roles. This included building a market leading digital experience for our candidates.

Being reasonably new to the RL Community it has most helped me continue to extend my networks
What is your prediction for the TA industry for 2025?
Continued disruption and need for evolution. The rise of skills based hiring and and AI solutions are going to take time to effectively embed. Knowledge sharing will be a key to success for our industry.
