Mark Dolman was raised in Yorkshire, England, and joined the Merchant Navy in 1993. He was sponsored by Shell for 4 years, and completed a Marine cadetship, making him one of the few qualified deck and engineering officers in the world.
In 2002, he was seconded to Shell Brunei, setting up training programs around the world for the local Bruneians, and slowly incorporating them into a succession plan to replace the expats working on board the government LNG vessels.
Mark was also recognised by the Sultan of Brunei for his work on training the Nationals.
Brunei was Marks move from an offshore marine role, and into Human Resources. This then progressed into a recruitment and training position within Northern Maine, working specifically for Chevron Shipping, out of the UK, USA, India and the Philippines.
He then moved to the Middle East in 2008 and has worked in senior HR recruitment roles with national oil companies in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. Mark was chosen to join the ADNOC PMO, to devise and implement talent acquisition initiatives across the ADNOC group.
Mark then moved into the world of EPC contractors, joining NMDC and more recently, McDermott, operating as Director Workforce Planning, before joining EnerMech.

Implementation of an ATS from concept to closure with no IT or external help.
What is your prediction for the future of the TA industry?
Become more and more AI driven, and the use of data in more decisions.
What projects are you planning on working on in 2026?
Tactical workforce planning and dashboards, both for the internal TA team and hiring managers
