Mehdi has been a dedicated professional in the Talent Acquisition industry since 2009, beginning with bulk mobilisation for iconic projects in the transport sector across the region. Over the years, he steadily climbed the ranks to become a TA leader with regional responsibilities, showcasing expertise in driving large-scale recruitment efforts and building high-performing teams.

Currently, Mehdi is embracing an exciting career shift in the Oil and Gas industry with Emarat Petroleum, where a passion for learning and adaptability has allowed him to thrive in this dynamic new environment.

Outside of work, Mehdi is a devoted family man who finds balance through an active lifestyle, often on the tennis court or at the gym.

What’s a professional achievement of yours from 2024 that you are proud of?

In 2024, my biggest professional achievement was stepping into the role of TA Lead at Emarat Petroleum and spearheading a transformative journey for the Talent Acquisition function. This initiative focused on building a robust foundation to attract top-tier talent capable of driving the business forward and positioning the company for its upcoming IPO.

I have had the privilege of connecting with some of the top leaders in the TA industry, exchanging insights, and learning from their expertise.

What is your prediction for the TA industry for 2025?

TA industry is likely to see a continued emphasis on technology and data driven hiring, with AI and predictive analytics playing a central role in identifying and engaging top talent.
