Alan has worked in the Talent Acquisition and HR space for over 30 years holding various roles within the private and public sectors. He has designed, implemented and managed permanent and contract resourcing solutions including TA technologies, some of which have been successful!. He has been fortunate to lead sizeable in-house recruitment teams from across the globe, established successful partnerships with suppliers of recruitment services, managed outsource partners and developed positive and constructive working relationships at all levels of business. When not engrossed with the exciting and rapidly changing landscape of Talent Acquisition, he is kept busy by his wonderful family, various pets and throwing himself around the squash court.

What is a professional achievement of yours from 2025 that you are most proud of?

Presenting at the RL Whitstable Summit on Ikigai & Blue Zones and how, in a world were AI seems to be the answer to every challenge, we equip our teams with the key behaviours and mindset that will allow them to succeed. What is their purpose/reason for being? And how do we tell that story in an engaging and compelling way?

What is your prediction for the future of the TA industry?

A clash of technology and humanity where those who thrive will be those who can find the right balance; protecting behaviours that build human relationships, community and connections while exploiting tech to drive efficiency and tangible returns

What projects are you planning on working on in 2026?

Building a new EMEA & APAC regional sourcing team in India ; Demand planning ; New EVP activities in APAC ; Evolving our approach to TA Data Analytics and Metrics to be able to present ‘Great TA Stories’ that drive positive change and improvements.
